Cartoonist B. Kliban (19351990) loved cats (no surprise there) and usually had several living with him. One day in the early 1970s, Kliban was hard at work doodling and thinking up ideas for cartoons when four striped kitties began demanding his attention. It could have been acatastrophe, but instead of getting angry with his furry friends, Kliban started drawing doodles of them. That moment turned out to be acatalyst for success. Klibans editor saw these cat cartoons, loved them, and convinced Kliban to show them to a book publisher. The frisky felines captured the publishers heart (and funny bone), and Cat was born to the world. The first book (simply calledCat) was published in 1975 andcatapulted Kliban to fame. Lots of colorful Cats followed, until Cat became the ultimate cat to collecta trusted friend, and a guaranteed source of smiles. Cats reign of zany fun continues to this day, as you can see in the 150 stickers in this Sticker Book. Whether theyre skating, surfing, or just being silly, these are the coolest cats youve ever seen! 8 page softcover book with 150 reusable paper stickers (50 different designs) featuring artwork by B. Kliban.

If you are a cat person, you know that cats celebrate Christmas. They marvel at Christmas trees, attack gift wrap, give presents (c'mon! a dead mouse counts!), receive presents, and eat too much. This holiday behavior was shrewdly documented by B. "Hap" Kliban (1935–1990), the closest man to a cat anyone has ever encountered. For the first time, his dozens of Yuletide Cat cartoons and paintings have been collected in this charming but revealing little book. As an extra added attraction, never-before-published Cat lyrics to well-known Christmas carols are included, researched and collected by Professor Winkie B. Earmites. Hark the Hungry Kitties Sing, We Wish You a Mousie Christmas, and Kitties We Have Heard on High are just a few of the rousing standards included. Click on the small picture above for an inside view.

Millions of us have loved B. Kliban's Cat for a couple of decades now, ever since we were first introduced to the frolicky feline in the mid-1970s through the now-classic book Cat. Kliban's Cat is one of the most beloved icons of popular culture. The drawings and paintings Kliban created have lost none of the appeal that first grabbed us back then and that continues to grab initiates today. CatDreams brings together the joyfully mesmerizing paintings Kliban executed for a series of calendars first published between 1977 and 1981 and juxtaposes them with many of his irresistible cartoon drawings. A keepsake volume that generations of Cat lovers -- and soon-to-be Cat lovers -- will bask in for years to come, it is the first full-color book to compile all of Kliban's calendar paintings, allowing us, at last, to keep all our Cats under one roof.

"Lay off fried people" and other low cal tips make "You Are Who You Eat" the ideal weight loss guide for anyone - cannibal and civilian alike - who has trouble stopping after that first bite. And for people who relish cannibal jokes. Mouth-watering illustrations, previously unpublished, are by the late "Playboy," "Esquire," and "The New Yorker" cartoonist Dedini. Former chubby teen-consultant-to-Weight Watchers Ina Silvert Hillebrandt created the diet and cooking tips, along with ideas to nourish the inner cannibal while slimming down. Uncle Dan tossed social satire into the pot -- his recipe for skewered presidents is to die for, and this cooking tip, Use Oil of Ole when sauteeing Spaniards, makes so much sense when you see how he fleshes it out...........HONORS Publisher Pawpress is proud to note that in February 2016, "You Are Who You Eat" was added to the collection of The Billy Ireland Cartoon Library & Museum at Ohio State University, where a number of original cartoons featuring Dedini signature luscious women and lascivious men, along with other art, are housed......."At last! A diet that makes sense!....."The Donner Party"OMG! To all my Facebook peeps! You've got to try this diet! It's the original Paleo!....."Marcy Hanson, Planet's Best Diets Blogger"This is so true!...Wait a minute. Is this tongue in cheek? Whose tongue? Whose cheek'....."Oswella Parsons, Housewife, Patterson, NJ

The Revolutionary War as never told before. The breathtaking latest installment in Bill O’Reilly and Martin Dugard’s mega-bestselling Killing series transports readers to the most important era in our nation’s history, the Revolutionary War. Told through the eyes of George Washington, Benjamin Franklin, Thomas Jefferson, and Great Britain’s King George III, Killing England chronicles the path to independence in gripping detail, taking the reader from the battlefields of America to the royal courts of Europe. What started as protest and unrest in the colonies soon escalated to a world war with devastating casualties. O’Reilly and Dugard recreate the war’s landmark battles, including Bunker Hill, Long Island, Saratoga, and Yorktown, revealing the savagery of hand-to-hand combat and the often brutal conditions under which these brave American soldiers lived and fought. Also here is the reckless treachery of Benedict Arnold and the daring guerilla tactics of the “Swamp Fox” Frances Marion. A must read, Killing England reminds one and all how the course of history can be changed through the courage and determination of those intent on doing the impossible.
